The S2347 is a front-focusing rail for the TCS20. Rack-and-pinion drive moves the lens-side assembly, while the rear camera-side assembly can be repositioned freely and locked on the rail.
Lens-side focusing
The front mechanism provides 150 mm of focusing travel on a 250 mm rail. Lock the lens-side carriage after adjustment: the rack-and-pinion mechanism requires the separate lock to hold its position.
Construction and mounting
The drive combines a stainless-steel pinion with a copper rack in an aluminum-alloy structure. The rail can be exchanged by hand without tools. An Arca-type profile runs along the rail, with 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch threaded mounting points.
Compatibility is specified for the TCS20 platform. The complete camera assemblies in the photographs illustrate installation of the rail.
