A control matters because of what it lets a photographer do. Explore the mechanical decisions behind movement, focusing and modular construction.

Two axes. Different jobs.
The ND252 separates manual quick tilt from arc-guided geared fine adjustment. Establish the shooting angle, lock the quick-tilt axis, then refine the frame.

On the TC18, a standard 4 mm lead screw and a dial divided into 100 increments give 0.04 mm of travel per division. The optional 1 mm lead screw gives 0.01 mm per division. These values describe scale increments, not measured positioning accuracy.

The SP45pro uses worm drives for self-locking tilt and swing. Shift and rise/fall use lead screws; their locking levers must be released before adjustment. Independent controls keep each operation explicit.

Components can adapt a system to different tasks, but modular does not mean universally interchangeable. For example, the TCS20it uses a dedicated focusing rail that is not interchangeable with other TCS20 rails. Choose parts for the exact model and configuration.
