TC1 is a fully geared mini view camera, with horizontal shift, rise and fall, tilt and swing on both the front and rear standards. Each movement is controlled by a knob, letting you refine composition and the plane of focus without pushing a standard into position. It brings the control of a view camera to commercial, architectural and landscape photography.
Both standards offer ±45 mm horizontal shift, ±28 mm rise and fall, ±15° tilt and ±20° swing. Worm gears hold tilt and swing settings without separate locks. Lead screws with a 4 mm lead drive the shifts and hold their position; locking after adjustment is recommended for added security. With the lens held stationary, rear shifts also support overlapping captures for panoramic stitching, within the lens's image circle.
The focusing rail uses a micrometer-style knob with 100 divisions and an integrated folding crank. Turn the crank for quicker travel, then use the knurled rim for fine adjustment. The standard 4 mm lead gives 0.04 mm per division; an optional 1 mm lead gives 0.01 mm per division. These are scale increments, not measured positioning accuracy. The rail can be reversed to select rear or front focusing.
Six modules assemble and separate without tools: the focusing rail, two shift modules, two tilt-and-swing modules and the bellows. Choose the lens board and camera bayonet mount or digital-back interface to suit your equipment. The included protective case keeps the system together between shoots.
