S2252 is a bellows platform for flat artwork reproduction and macro photography. The front and rear standards are fixed perpendicular to the rail to maintain the lens and camera alignment. The basic platform has no shift, tilt or swing movements.
Lead-screw focusing
The focusing drive is self-locking, helping hold the camera position during vertical work. A micrometer-style scale provides 0.04 mm or 0.01 mm of travel per division, depending on the configured lead screw. These are scale graduations, not measured positioning accuracy or repeatability. The focusing knob has a folding crank for larger movements; the folded crank preserves the knob profile.
Modular configuration
The standard configuration uses a 350 mm rail and six-fold bellows. The camera or digital-back interface and lens board are configured separately, with the bellows interface matched to the selected camera or back. Compatible large-format and medium-format lenses can be combined with suitable DSLR, mirrorless or digital-back interfaces; the actual combination depends on flange distance, clearance and lens coverage.
Adding the appropriate FS movement modules converts the platform to a mini view camera with shift and tilt movements. Modules assemble by hand without tools.
Applications
For flat artwork, the fixed standards keep the lens and image planes aligned while focusing distance is adjusted along the rail. For macro work, bellows extension provides a configurable lens-to-camera distance; achievable magnification depends on the lens and extension.
