LS22 brings the LS18 lead-screw mechanism into a shorter rail, providing 42 mm of travel within a 123 mm overall length. It supports close-up composition of insects, plants and small objects, as well as incremental camera movement for manual focus stacking.
A trapezoidal lead screw and miniature thrust bearings provide controlled adjustment. The screw advances 4 mm per revolution, with 100 knob divisions indicating 0.04 mm of travel each. Unfold the crank for rapid positioning, or turn the knurled rim for fine adjustment. When folded, the crank preserves the knob's circular profile and continuous knurled grip.
Use LS22 independently or mount it across another compatible positioning rail for front-to-back and side-to-side adjustment. The upper Arca-type clamp can be removed, turned 90° and reinstalled to accommodate different plate orientations on camera L-brackets and lens feet.

The Arca-type base fits compatible clamps and includes 1/4-inch mounting threads. The travel lock may remain released during horizontal use. In vertical use, the carriage may creep; engage the lock after adjustment and release it before moving again.
For focus stacking, move the camera in steps suited to the magnification and depth of field, capture each image separately, then combine the images in post-processing.
