The TCM18 provides controlled focusing between a compatible lens and camera body. A four-fold bellows and 250 mm rail form a compact modular system for working with separately selected lens boards and camera-body mounts.
The lead-screw drive uses a micrometer-style dial divided into 100 graduations. The standard 4 mm lead gives 0.04 mm of travel per division; an optional 1 mm lead gives 0.01 mm per division. These values describe the scale increments, not measured positioning accuracy. Unfold the crank for larger adjustments, or turn the knurled rim for fine control. A locking lever secures the adjusted position.
Reverse the rail orientation to place the driven movement at the lens or camera end. The other end can be released for quick manual positioning and locked again. The rear interface supports 90-degree orientation changes for horizontal or vertical composition. An Arca-style dovetail and 1/4-inch threaded mounting hole provide tripod mounting options.

As your work develops, add the appropriate movement modules to build a TC18 or a shift-only TCxy. The existing rail and four-fold bellows remain in use, and the conversion requires no tools.
